CAREERS - Service Desk Technician (temp-to-hire)

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • A+, Network+ or MCP certifications a plus
  • First level response for the IT Ticketing System.
  • Assign tickets to the right parties promptly and monitor aging of tickets
  • Primary contact for new hire setup, configuration, support, and problem resolution.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, hardware failures, printing, and other concerns presented within rapid response times.
  • Troubleshoot mobile device Exchange connectivity
  • Special project and requests as assigned.
  • Provide help desk related support to end users.
  • Provide remote assistance to field users and remotes offices
  • Installation of end user software and technical equipment
  • Travel to the Technology Center in Garden Grove at least once a week
  • Primary contact for IT Asset Management and IT equipment purchases
  • Basic network troubleshooting
  • Customer Service oriented
  • Highly experienced with IT ticketing systems. Track-it knowledge is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in system support / helpdesk related area.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of hardware / software operations in a Microsoft based environment. Network connectivity and communication experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems (XP and 7) and computer hardware.
  • Excellent knowledge of PC hardware
  • Firm knowledge of MS Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Moderately proficient in Active Directory user account management
  • SharePoint knowledge is a plus
  • Familiar with VMWare virtualization solutions such as VMWare Fusion and VMWare Workstation
  • Experience with Mac OSX Lion and Mountain Lion
  • Firm knowledge of VPN technologies, remote assistance and remote desktop management tools
  • Working knowledge of OS imaging technologies. Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Ghost are a plus
  • Multi-task oriented with desire to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be a team player willing to assist others at all levels of the organization
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and work autonomously or with a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to have flexible hours based on IT team schedules.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on a one-on-one basis or in group setting.
  • Must be highly motivated individual with high level of initiative and a positive attitude
  • Ability to exercise strict confidentiality
  • Analytical, quantitative and problem solving abilities
  • Excellent punctuality and reliability
