CAREERS - HR Clerk (temp-to-hire)

Corporate Office - Costa Mesa
New York Office
8:00am - 5:00pm M-F, and overtime as required
  • Minimum High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Manage incoming HR mail and work with HR Coordinator to ensure appropriate action items are taken.
  • Maintain department filing for employee personnel and benefits files.
  • Assist in the new hire onboard process by scheduling interviews and compiling new hire paperwork.
  • Process department invoices by obtaining HR Director’s approval, logging invoices, and forwarding to Accounts Payable Dept.
  • Create and maintain New Hire and Termination packets
  • Maintain employee directory and Blackboard Connect
  • Respond to employee data requests such as employment verifications, EDD claims, and other agency correspondences.
  • Participate in special department projects including reporting audits, volunteer event coordination, and other projects as assigned.
  • Atleast 1 year experience supporting HR highly preferred
  • General knowledge of HR practices and procedures preferred
  • Moderate proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point
  • Must be highly motivated individual with high level of initiative and an attitude of willingness
  • Must be team player willing to assist others at all levels of the organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide superior customer service and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and work autonomously or with a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on a one-on-one basis or in group setting.
  • Ability to exercise strict confidentiality
